Name: Bruno Schielzeth Age: In dispute, but probably 53 Occupation: Electronic Technical Manager Modeling since: About 1957 First model: Don't remember. Either an F 86 or a car. Modeling history: Started on cars and planes. Moved to armour with lots of the Bandai 1/48th stuff (100+) and then Tamyia 1/35th. Took up model railroading for several years. Won a few trophies, sold several models, Got burned out and quit modeling for about 10 years. Started again about 4 years ago with 1/48th aircraft. Current projects: Herr Biffy, my much abused Bf 110 night fighter. He suffered near fatal wounds from my grand daughter just before his final paint job. He is now almost back to normal. Also a Me 410, a Bf 109 E4, several 1/72nd armour kits, a few figures, and a couple of cars including a 1953 Corvette with a Caddy engine. I like unusual subjects or themes, like my current push for German night fighters from NJG 2. I haven't used PE yet. I prefer to scratch build what I need with brass, plastic, or home made resin castings. Old eyes have made 1/48th my scale of choice, but I still do 1/72 for dioramas. Unbuilt kits: only about 10 at the moment. Finished models: In my posession only about 6. The ex has another 50 or so in the garage and refuses to give them back. My best model: The next one I build. The reason for getting into this crazy group build: Too many beers and nothing better to do at the moment. |
