Heinkel He 219A

Out of a total of 269 He 219s built (plus six "ghost" aircraft assembled from components, and carrying no official W.Nr), the example preserved at the National Air and Space Museum is the sole remaining example.  We are exceedingly fortunate to have not one, but TWO walkarounds of the restored/preserved fuselage of this magnificent aircraft... one from well-known Luftwaffe modeler Floyd Werner, and the other from the team leader for the restoration of the 219, Brian Nicklas of the National Air and Space Museum.

My heartfelt thanks go to both for their great photographs!

In addition to the great walkaround photos, there are several manual pages to display which cover certain details of the aircraft not ordinarily seen in other publications.
