Messerschmitt Me 262B-1a

W.Nr. 110806

The following series of sixteen photographs are a valuable record of an unrestored late-war Luftwaffe cockpit (at that time, anyhow)... taken by Pete Chalmers on a trip to South Africa in the seventies prior to a thorough rework, these shots of the only surviving Me 262B nightfighter give clear evidence of the various shades of Farbton 66 Schwarzgrau in use by 1944/45, as well as fascinating details of the fore and aft cockpits in this wonderful bird.
