Curtiss P-6E Hawk s/n 32-261 |
This is the last survivor of all the Army Hawks flown in the 1920s and 30s... rebuilt from a hulk in a barn in the 1970s, this gorgeous example now resides at the United States Air Force Museum. On a personal note, I'd like to dedicate this page to Tom Curda, a departed friend... back in 2001, he built a P-6E for his wife Hilly's parents, which they absolutely loved, and I remember how much he enjoyed building it. Tom was a wonderful, generous soul and he is greatly missed. |
