SBD models by Lynn Ritger

Well, it wouldn't be right if I didn't put my money where my mouth is, eh?  :-)

This is Hasegawa's SBD-4 backdated to a -3 and the following mods added:

-    Dive flaps opened and drilled out (all 316 holes), all mechanisms inside scratchbuilt

-    Lots of scratchbuilt details in cockpit (i.e. throttle levers, wobble pump, lift cable, seatbelts, upper inst. cluster hood details, ammo counters, bomb aiming window, fully detailed gunner's seat, superdetailed twin .30s with PE ammo belts, etc)

-    Repositioned tail surfaces, controls to match

-    Reprofiled Hamilton Std. prop to earlier style

-    Opened cowl flaps, added PE wiring harness to engine

-    Scratchbuilt oil cooler

-    Marked as Max Leslie's aircraft "B-1", BuNo 4662...CO, VB-3 at Midway from CV-5 Yorktown, led attack on Soryu with no bombs!

I need to take more pics of this one- I'm really proud of the way it turned out.
