Hi All,
I think that BFC-2 being hoisted out of the water was A9275, which ditched 10mi.
off Delmar,CA on 15 November 1937. Engine failure was the cause. The aircraft
was stricken. At the time of the accident the pilot was AC W.A. Gates.

Beautiful shot Mark and rare because of the inflated flotation gear.
The photo is probably from late 1937 or early 1938 and the pilot's
name was Aviation Cadet James M. Eoff. (Bill Larkins)
