Floyd Werner
Floyd is a highly accomplished modeler whose work has been exhibited in FineScale Modeler, Aviation in Miniature, and other publications. He is also extremely well represented on the leading online internet modeling site Hyperscale...his work is just fantastic, as the pictures below will attest, and the attention is well deserved, as you can see below...
Below is the 1/48 Monogram Bf109G-10 converted into a K-4, and finished with Kommandeur markings.
Below is the Fujimi Bf109G-6 as a "Wilde Sau" aircraft of JG302
This is the Fujimi 109G-14 built as Ernst Scheufele's "Peterle" of JG4 utilizing the FM detail set.
Hermann Graf's 109G-5 of JG50 was built using the Hasegawa kit ("hate that bulbous prop spinner"-FW) with ART rocket pods and a Cooper Details interior.
The 109F-2 below is the Hasegawa kit with Aeromaster decals for a Gruppenstab II./JG54 aircraft in Russia.
The diorama below utilizes a Hasegawa 109E with Koster guns and a Verlinden engine, along with a scratchbuilt trestle and engine area.
The 109G-1 below is the Hobbycraft kit, with Aeromaster decals for Heinz Knoke's aircraft.
Below are single examples of his work; from left to right are the Replicast Bf109V1 prototype with Verlinden interior, Hobbycraft Bf109C-1 from 3./JG71, and Hasegawa Bf109E-4 in Galland's markings.
More individual appearances; first is a G-10 of undetermined origin; next, a Falcon conversion for the G-12 with Fujimi wings and Hasegawa elevators, Cooper Detail front cockpit and scratchbuilt rear cockpit; a Fujimi G-14; and another K-4 to round things up.
And lest there be any doubt as to how much Floyd loves the 109, this display at a contest should put those doubts to rest... :-)
