Jim Reid

Jim sent in the following pictures of Heinrich Bartels' famed Bf109G-6/R3 "Marga", rote 13+~ of 11./JG27 at Kalamaki, Greece in  August 1943.  Jim used the Hasegawa kit and True Details cockpit to obtain this lovely result.

Moving on to a somewhat bigger scale, Jim brings us a gorgeous Hasegawa's 1/32 Gustav finished in the markings of Hptm. Ludwig Franzisket, Gruppenkommandeur of I./JG27 at Fels am Wagram in Austria in mid to late 1944... Jim bashed these markings together from various sources, including an old Microscale sheet which gave up its Gruppe badges. 

And as if that weren't big enough... Jim's also built Pips Priller's 109E W.Nr. 5057 from Airfix in massive 1/24 scale, and mounted it on a stand so he can place it on his desk at work!  We should all be so lucky to have such fantastic ornamentation at our workplaces... :)
