Bf 109G-2 W.Nr. 14792

Marko Jeras was kind enough to forward this photo of G-2 W.Nr. 14792 for display here on the Lair.   The aircraft served with the Yugoslav Air Force coded "9663", and further research is being conducted into the previous service history of this aircraft.  It's currently on display in Belgrade's aeronautical museum; yes, that is the tail of a Ju87B behind it, but unfortunately that's all that remains of that aircraft!

UPDATE:  Proving once again what a wonderfully bizzare and connected world we live in, I received a message from Thomas Pedersen offering many shots of 14792.  Why would I find that odd?  Because Thomas is a Dane currently working in Afghanistan who is sending me pics of a German aircraft in Yugoslavia.  :)

Thank you very much, Thomas, these are great shots!  Stay safe...
