Recovered from Lake Swiblo in 1992, this Gustav was flown by the Technical Officer of Stab/JG54; research continues into the circumstances of the loss.  Stammkennzeichen recorded as RK+FY; the airframe is currently under long-term restoration with David Prewette in Australia.  The photos below were kindly submitted by Alan Scheckenbach... you can see him in a couple of shots below, grinning like a madman.  :)
